Obtainable Digimon

Unlike in the DS games, there are not nearly 500 digimon in DMO; instead there are about 150 digimon that you can obtain. This does not mean that it is easy to obtain any of them, nor does it mean that you are likely to actually own all of them. The maximum number of digimon you can have on one character is 32, but to do this, you need to have purchased multiple Digimon Storage Slots from the cash shop, using your own, real money. Most people are not able to do this, and therefore stick with the number they are given for free, four. One of those is your starter digimon (Agumon, Gaomon, Lalamon, or Falcomon) and the other three being ones that you hatch -- Yes, I did say 'hatch'. You have to hatch a digimon to obtain them, the digimon available to be hatched are called 'Mercenary Digimon'. Something that you should know about know about the digimon that you have, all of them, is that they do not stay in the stage of evolution that they have reached. Once they are able to evolve, they do not stay evolved forever, and soon turn back into their rookie stage once again. Of course their requirements are still met, and they do not go down in level when this happens, but just go back to their rookie stage, and are able to be evolved again at any time.
